What is Restylane Defyne?

Restylane Defyne is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler used to improve chin projection, shape, and profile in suitable adults with mild to moderate chin retrusion.

Its flexible gel provides targeted structural support while moving naturally with an expressive area of the face. It also contains a small amount of lidocaine to help reduce discomfort during treatment.

When will I see the result?

A change in shape may be visible immediately. However, early swelling can temporarily exaggerate or obscure the result, so your chin should be assessed again after the initial swelling and tenderness have settled.

How long does Restylane Defyne last in the chin?

Restylane Defyne has been shown to maintain improvement in the chin for up to 12 months. This does not mean every patient will experience the same duration.

Longevity can vary according to the amount used, placement, anatomy, metabolism, facial movement, and individual response.

Is the treatment painful?

You may feel brief pinching, pressure, or tenderness. Restylane Defyne contains lidocaine, which helps reduce discomfort during and immediately after injection. Individual sensitivity still varies.

Is there downtime?

Temporary tenderness, pain, swelling, small lumps or bumps, bruising, redness, and itching can occur. Most reactions in the chin study were mild to moderate and settled within one to two weeks, although some reactions may last longer.
