How does the treatment work?

This controlled response may support tissue contraction and gradual collagen remodeling. Because the process develops over time, the result is intended to look progressive rather than suddenly overdone.
When will I see results?
Some patients may notice an early feeling of firmness, but meaningful improvement is usually assessed gradually over the following weeks and months.
Clinical studies of focused-ultrasound devices commonly evaluate results at approximately three months. However, not every patient experiences visible improvement, and results vary according to the device, settings, treatment area, degree of laxity, and individual tissue response.
What will my result look like?
The goal is a subtle improvement in firmness, contour, and facial definition.
7D HIFU is not a replacement for a surgical facelift and should not be presented as producing the same degree of lifting. It is generally more appropriate for patients with mild to moderate laxity who prefer a noninvasive treatment and have realistic expectations.
Is the treatment painful?
Comfort varies. Patients may feel warmth, prickling, or deeper discomfort as ultrasound energy is delivered.
Published studies of other focused-ultrasound devices report mild to moderate discomfort, although the experience depends on the machine, settings, treatment area, and personal sensitivity. We do not describe HIFU as completely painless.
Is there downtime?
Most patients can return to their usual activities without an extended recovery period, but temporary effects can occur, including:

Is 7D HIFU right for me?
A consultation is required. HIFU is not the right solution for every type or degree of facial laxity.
Dr. Leigh will assess whether your concern is related to skin laxity, volume loss, muscle activity, fat distribution, or another structural factor. If HIFU is unlikely to provide the improvement you want, a different treatment may be recommended.
