Less planning around sweat. More freedom to move through your day.
Choosing clothes based on what will hide the marks. Keeping your arms close to your body. Carrying an extra shirt because you never know when sweating might become visible.
Excessive underarm sweating is not poor hygiene or a failure of confidence. For some people, it is a medical condition that quietly affects clothing, comfort, work, and social situations.
At Adarna Medical Aesthetics, Sweatox temporarily reduces excessive underarm sweating, helping you feel less preoccupied with staying dry and more present in the moments that matter.
What Is Sweatox?
Sweatox is a doctor-administered treatment that uses botulinum toxin type A for excessive underarm sweating, medically known as axillary hyperhidrosis.
Small amounts are injected into the skin of the underarms. The medicine temporarily interrupts the nerve signals that activate local sweat glands, reducing sweat production specifically within the treated area.
Sweatox may be considered when underarm sweating:
-
Regularly soaks through clothing
-
Occurs even when you are not exercising or exposed to heat
-
Affects your confidence, comfort, or clothing choices
-
Interferes with work or social situations
-
Has not responded adequately to appropriate antiperspirants or topical care
Questions Patients Usually Ask
How do I know if my sweating is excessive?
Underarm sweating may be considered excessive when it regularly goes beyond what your body needs for temperature control and begins interfering with clothing, work, social situations, or ordinary daily activities.
Sweatox is not intended simply to prevent normal sweating during exercise or on a hot day.
When will I notice a difference?
Sweating may begin to decrease within several days. The fuller effect is generally assessed after one to two weeks.
Not every sweat gland responds identically, and a completely dry result should not be promised.
Will I stop sweating completely?
The goal is meaningful reduction, not the elimination of every drop of sweat.
Some patients become substantially drier, while others continue to perspire at a more manageable level. Results vary.
Can Sweatox help with underarm odor?
Reducing moisture may help lessen odor associated with sweating, but Sweatox does not directly treat every cause of body odor.
Persistent or unusual odor may require a separate assessment.
Is the treatment painful?
You will feel multiple small injections, commonly described as brief pinching or stinging. Comfort measures may be used, and the procedure is generally completed within a short clinic visit.
Is there downtime?
Most patients can return to ordinary activities after treatment.
Temporary redness, tenderness, swelling, bruising, or small raised bumps may appear at the injection points. These effects are usually short-lived, although individual recovery varies.
Feel More Present, Not Preoccupied
Sweatox is not about preventing your body from behaving naturally. It is about helping excessive underarm sweating take up less space in your thoughts, your wardrobe, and your day.
