Alartox
Alartox is Adarna’s doctor-led treatment for patients who want to soften excessive nostril flaring while preserving the natural character of their nose. The goal is not to create a completely different nose. It is to make its movement feel calmer and more balanced with the rest of your face.
What is Alartox?
Alartox uses carefully placed botulinum toxin type A injections to temporarily reduce the activity of selected muscles responsible for widening the nostrils.
As these muscles relax, excessive alar movement may become less noticeable, particularly when smiling, laughing, or making animated expressions.
Alartox cannot narrow the nasal bones, reshape cartilage, correct a deviated septum, permanently reduce nostril size, or reproduce the structural changes possible with rhinoplasty. It works best when muscle activity is contributing to dynamic nostril flare.

When will I see the result?
Reduced muscle activity may begin within several days, but the treatment should be allowed approximately two weeks to settle.
The change is usually most noticeable during facial expression rather than when the face is completely at rest. Results vary according to your anatomy, the muscles responsible for the flare, the botulinum toxin product used, and your individual response.
Will Alartox make my nose look smaller?
Alartox may make the nasal base appear less wide when your nostrils actively flare, but it does not physically make the nose smaller.
If the width is caused mainly by bone, cartilage, naturally broad nostrils, thick skin, or a wide nasal base at rest, the visible improvement may be limited. Dr. Leigh will assess your nose both at rest and during expression to determine whether muscle-directed treatment is appropriate.
Is there downtime?
Temporary redness, tenderness, swelling, small injection marks, or bruising may occur around the sides of the nose. Most patients can return to ordinary activities after treatment.
