How does the program work?
Your program begins with an assessment by Dr. Leigh to understand your acne type, severity, previous treatments, current skincare, sensitivities, and other factors that may be contributing to your breakouts.
Acne Control Facials provide consistent professional care for congested, breakout-prone skin. LED Light Therapy is used as a supportive treatment for inflammatory acne, while the Salicylic/Azelaic Acid Peel is selected according to your skin’s needs and tolerance.
For suitable large, painful, or inflamed pimples, Dr. Leigh may perform targeted pimple injections. Although the package allows unlimited injections during each of the four designated visits, only lesions that can be treated safely and appropriately will be injected.
Your Acne Rx Kit is recommended according to your skin rather than automatically giving every patient the same routine.

When will I see improvement?
Some patients may notice that individual inflamed pimples settle sooner or that the skin feels less congested during the program. More meaningful improvement depends on completing the treatment series and following the recommended home-care routine.
Your response may be influenced by acne type, hormones, stress, medications, skincare habits, and whether new breakouts continue to develop.
Breakouts can still occur during treatment. Significant irritation or worsening should be reviewed rather than automatically dismissed as “purging.”
Will this treat acne scars?
This program focuses primarily on active acne and congestion. It may help reduce the risk of additional marks by managing new breakouts, but it cannot remove established indented or raised acne scars.
Once active acne is better controlled, Dr. Leigh can assess whether a separate acne-scar treatment plan is appropriate.
Is there downtime?
LED therapy generally requires little interruption to your routine. Facials, peels, and pimple injections may cause temporary redness, tenderness, dryness, sensitivity, or light flaking.
Pimple injections can occasionally cause a temporary indentation, skin thinning, or color change, which is why Dr. Leigh treats only medically appropriate lesions and uses a conservative approach.
